Bernese researchers are involved in all four consortia supported by Innosuisse as part of its call for Flagship Initiatives . They will receive a multi-million contribution jointly provided by Innosuisse and industry partners. The transdisciplinary projects will contribute to the development of systemic innovations in the fields of dementia research, precision oncology and diabetes prevention.

NeuroTec Loft: An Apartment researches Diseases

At the NeuroTec Loft in sitem-insel, sensor technologies are being used to research how diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and Multiple Sclerosis can be treated more effectively. The goal is to enable those affected to live independently for as long as possible. Tobias Nef and Kevin Möri of the Gerontechnology and Rehabilitation group were interviewed about their work with the loft for UniAktuell.

New ARTORG Venture Fellows: Samuel Knobel and Amith Kamath

The fourth cohort of the Venture Fellowship program at the University of Bern and the Inselspital were chosen - among them, two of ARTORG's own. Dr. Samuel Knobel, researcher of the Gerontechnology and Rehabilitation group, and Amith Kamath, PhD student of the Medical Image Analysis group, are two of five recipients of the Fellowship.
