PolaSight, a spin-off company of ARTORG’s Artifical Intelligence in Medical Imaging (AIMI) laboratory, was one of three deep-tech start-ups receiving a $100’000 investment from Constructor Capital at the 4th Constructor Start Demo Day on September 21, 2026.

SpineBot: A Robot to Measure Spinal Mechanics During Surgery

How does a spine affected by adolescent idiopathic scoliosis respond to mechanical loading? The SNSF-funded inSEA2SpineBot project combines robotics, clinical expertise and computational modeling to quantify spine biomechanics under physiologically relevant conditions and generate data for more realistic patient-specific models.

The ARTORG Center at the MICCAI 2026 Conference and Workshops in Strasbourg

The 29th International Conference on Medical Image Computing and Computer Assisted Intervention (MICCAI) conference took place from September 27 to October 01, 2026, at the Strasbourg Convention Center in France. Various members of the different ARTORG research groups were presenting their work at the main conference and its satellite events.

ARTORG Start-Ups PolaSight & SonoStent receive Venture Kick Stage 2 Funding

On June 15th and 16th, 2026, the Kick Foundation announced that two start-ups from the ARTORG ecosystem were selected to receive the Venture Kick Stage 2 financial support: PolaSight, a product of the Artificial Intelligence in Medical Imaging laboratory, and SonoStent, which developed out of the Urogenital Engineering research group.
