ARTORG Start-Up PeriVision received Funding from Swiss Data Science Center

The ARTORG start-up PeriVision, a product of the Artificial Intelligence in Medical Imaging Laboratory (AIMI), is one of four data science projects supported by the Swiss Data Science Center and the Canton of Vaud in their second call for Vaud projects.

A partnership between the Swiss Data Science Center and the Canton of Vaud is financing a collaborative innovation program that brings together companies, universities, and public institutions to embed Artificial Intelligence into the economy of Vaud.

Of the 57 submitted data science projects, four were selected for the program’s second call. Among the four winners is PeriVision, a spin-off company from the ARTORG Center’s Artificial Intelligence in Medical Imaging Laboratory (AIMI).

The start-up has developed a platform that uses virtual reality glasses to measure the impact of glaucoma on visual fields—information that is crucial for the prevention and treatment of the disease. With the funding received through this call, PeriVision will improve these predictions by analyzing data from patients from the University Hospital of Bern, Inselspital.

The ARTORG Center warmly congratulates PeriVision on these excellent news!
