PhD thesis defense Emile Talon
The ARTORG Center congratulates Emile Talon for successfully defending his PhD thesis on 7 December 2023. Emile has researched bone-conduction hearing aids and their optimal implantation location under the title “Image-guidance for optimized bone conduction implantation”. For his thesis at the Hearing Research Lab, he has delved into the characteristics of bone, such as thickness and bone mineral density at the skull base, which exert a profound influence on the efficient propagation of mechanical vibrations which transmit sound in bone-conduction implants.
