From 1991 to January 2016, senior positions in endocrinology/diabetology at Inselspital and University of Bern, most recently as Director and Chief Physician of the University Clinic for Endocrinology, Diabetes and Clinical Nutrition and Professor at the University of Bern. President of the Swiss Diabetes Association (since 2018). Honorary member of the Swiss Diabetes Association and the Swiss Society of Endocrinology and Diabetes.
