PhD thesis defense Tatiana Fountoukidou
Congratulations to Tatiana Fountoukidou, Artificial Intelligence in Medical Imaging lab (AIMI), for her successful PhD thesis defense on 4 May 2021! Titled "Towards safer machine learning for ophthalmology applications", her PhD project aimed at providing a tool to testbed machine learning algorithms through sets of dynamic questions to help clinicians see which clinical systems they can trust before implementing them into patient care.
Tatiana Fountoukidou applied machine learning in her PhD project for a safer laser retina therapy and to develop a systematic interpretation of ML-based tools through a novel framework.
