PhD Defense: Stephan Schraivogel Develops Radiation-Free Solution for Cochlear Implant Positioning

On 11 November 2024, Stephan Schraivogel successfully defended his PhD thesis in Biomedical Engineering, titled "Impedance Telemetry-Based Insertion Depth Estimation for Cochlear Implants – From Research to Clinical Application." His innovative work introduces a safe, efficient, and cost-effective method to determine cochlear implant electrode positions without the need for radiation-based imaging. Congratulations to Dr. Stephan Schraivogel on his successful defence and the translation of his research into clinical practice!
