After obtaining my Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Bern I gained professional experience as a clinical research and application expert in the field of ophthalmology. Deciding to return to academia as a post-doctoral researcher, my work currently focuses on the development of an unobtrusive sensor system and algorithms to calculate biomarkers to monitor patients suffering from a neurodegenerative disease at home. I am also interested in neurofeedback using adaptive Virtual Reality environments and developing new treatment methods for patients suffering from psychiatric disorders.
