Immersive Virtual Reality

My virtual hand: Does body ownership over an avatar enhance motor performance?

In the brain, body ownership and motor control share neural correlates. We investigate if body ownership over an avatar in virtual training environments could be used as a tool to increase motor learning in neurorehabilitation.

First-person immersive virtual reality to improve motor learning and neurorehabilitation

The aim of this project is to explore how the immersion of neurologic patients in virtual environment (VE) can be employed to improve current rehabilitation interventions.

Reaching in Several Realities

The goal of this project is to compare the motor performance and cognitive load while performing a task in three different realities: 1) immersive VR (IVR) HMD; 2) augmented reality (AR) HMD; and 3) 2D screen.
