Ellis Wollis Malta Abhulime holds a BSc in Nutrition from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil. He is currently an MSc student in the Graduate Program in Nutrition, Sport and Metabolism at UNICAMP, supervised by Prof. Dr. Fabiana Braga Benatti and co-supervised by Prof. Dr. Diogo Thimoteo da Cunha. Combining clinical nutrition with a background in software development, his previous work includes NutriBenchBR, a benchmark for evaluating large language models on Brazilian nutrition knowledge, and the development of digital tools for dietary planning and nutritional assessment. His master's research investigates artificial intelligence for personalized dietary planning, including a blinded comparative study of AI-generated versus dietitian-authored meal plans. He joined the AI in Health and Nutrition group as a visiting researcher, funded by a FAPESP research internship abroad fellowship, where he works on extending the Swiss Food Knowledge Graph with Brazilian food composition data. His current interests are large language models, the evaluation of AI systems in nutrition, and food knowledge graphs.
